It is 12 in some states.. But I know this for sure. I am a Senior and I have been in this boat...I am 100% sure I learned it in Street Law class last year!
There is not actually a legal age when a minor can decide where they live. The court will listen to a minor at any age to what their preferrence is, but they still have the legal decision. They want the child to be in a home with structure, rules, supervision, etc.. and some children would choose to live a parent's house who is less strict with no rules, where they are allowed to run wild. The court looks at the child's best interest.
` Good luck
