Stop the war and bring them home. Stop funding nations that have no desire in paying us back. Stop supplying nations with weapons or knowledge of weaponry.
End world hunger- yes WORLD hunger. With all of our surpluses and money we still have children dying of starvation everywhere.
Universal Healthcare and EDUCATION is a MUST. No citizen should suffer, be neglected, or go without.....ever again. In other countries this is working!
Immigration must be controlled. I fully realize that our nation is comprised of a magnificent melting pot of people, but we need to stop allowing the constant influx of illegals that are putting a huge financial strain on our economy.
Criminals should be denied access to the internet, education, television, and work out facilities. After all, isn't prison *supposed* to be punishment?
Impose sanctions or taxes on big businesses in the US who send our jobs outside or buy products from other countries. In other words, fix that little thing called NAFTA.
Impose higher taxation on oil companies. Why are they the ONLY ones making money while we pay $3.48 (or higher!!) at the pump?
Declare a government mandate that says a classroom size is defined as no more than 15 students. The reason illiteracy is growing is because there isn't enough teacher to teach the burgeoning class sizes. And, PAY those teachers too!
Employ "citizen" police. There are enough good people who are tired of crime in their neighborhoods and cities. There are also too few police because of state budgetary constraints. Train them, teach them, and allow them to be stewards of the community at some level.
Go to town on Hollywood with some taxes. Why do these actors/actresses make $20 million a movie? Give anyone that much money and I'm willing to bet that they can transform, take it off, use an accent, you name it!! I think it's absolutely absurd when there are SOOOO many struggling people in the world that this can even allowable (let alone conscionable!) Even the playing field.
