If you lose 50 pounds that would put you down to about 250, which is still quite a bit for your height. Diet and a lot of exercise are your only recourse. Don't starve yourself. I'd reccomend seeing a dietician. If you have a weight issue now, you will also have one while you are in the Navy.
It might be the hardest thing you have ever done in your short life is to get in shape, lose weight and continue to be a member in the best Military in the world.
