Do "Baby Moses" laws apply to men? Should they?

The idea is that you can drop off an unwanted baby, under a certain age (Ive seen between 7-60 days) "no questions asked" and it will be anonymous and not a crime. They will NEVER try to contact you afterward.

They want to prevent abandoned babies.

If the baby is already born, then it is no longer "the woman's body".

Does the father have any say or recourse on the matter?

How is this different than a father not paying child support? (other than being potentially much more gruesome)

I don't know all the details of the laws, so please inform me.
