I sympathize with your situation, and will pray for a good ending, but I will tell you that the people bragging about their checks will be crying next year. This money is not coming out of thin air, I understand it will be applied to next years taxes. President Bush will not be in office at thiss time next year, so he is not concerned about the consequences of this so-called giveaway.
Yes this is bad etiquette in the workplace, but it sounds like you are an exception to those numbskulls
