I'd go and have a chat with both your school careers advisor and also a military careers advisor (they have offices in many cities) to get a good grasp of your options and what exactly within the Marines that you would like to do. If there isn't a military careers office near you then you can always email them (you can find an email addy here http://www.royalmarines.mod.uk/). Certain military pathways do require you to have A-Levels or even a degree so you need to know now.
Certainly, I'd advise you to do well in your GSCEs as the military not only like to see you can apply yourself well to a task but it's also good to have something to fall back on if a Marines career doesn't work out.
