| Do any of you have animals with diabetes?
My cat is 13 years old and has recently began drinking all the time [like seriously gulping down water], urinating frequently, and she has been pretty overweight since we had her fixed. She goes to the vet and gets cortizone shots for arthritis/allergies and he has checked her out every 3 months and says she is in good health other than her weight [about 14-15lbs] and her arthritis/allergies.
Do any of you have pets that have diabetes and if so, what helps them to not be so thirsty?
She has a vet appointment for April 11th, but until then I'm worried about her blood sugar getting too high or too low and not knowing what to do about it.
They have me on a call list incase someone cancels or doesn't show up but i live in a small town and he's one of two vets and I want to take her to someone that knows her history. he's seen her since she was like a week old. |
