Good question.
If there was any doubt, our "free market economy" went out the door the same day as Bush guaranteed taxpayer dollars to bail out any losses from Bear Stearns after being taken over by Morgan.
Americans should not be suprised that Corporations wholly own the government. The individual no longer matters.
