The Mrs. has a spectacular aura about
---NCLB, would be long gone (teachers and students worry about marking an answer right or ways to get more points on certain types of questions, rather than really learning the material).
---There would be more responsibility put on parents.
---Free education would begin at the age of three.
---Traditional classrooms would be thing of the past, and there would be more exploration and free thinking, less spoon fed information.
---Teachers would be paid based on a complex formula which includes levels at which students enter their class and levels at which they exit, taking into account special situations, hours put into productive preparation and engaging lessons, success of student-teacher relationships as well as success of parent- teacher relationships, education of the teacher and professional development....
---All salaries would start out a $35,000...I know, its not much, but it is $12,000 more than the minimum requirement in my state.
