I second McMom's answer.

And just to add, a baby won't catch diseases through breast milk. So if both of you get sick, it's most likely that you both caught the same virus at the same time. It's just that your baby started showing symptoms before you do.
Based on my own experience, as long as I keep breastfeeding my son, his illness did not get any worse than a few cough here and there.
As said above, this is because he was transferring his virus when nursing, so that my body made the antibodies to fight his illness, and he'd get this antibodies the next time he fed.
(Even MY symptoms were WORSE than him, it's so unfair... lol)

But if you're concerned, give the ped a call, that's what they're there for anyway.
