| The only way you'll go to Iraq in the USCG is if ur in the reserves. They're the only ones that get sent. About the job u'll have, they have law enforcement in the Coast Guard but it depends on what u score on ur ASVAB test. I'm about to take the ASVAB to join the USCG and do search and rescue but i have to score well enough to get an opportunity in that rate. In the Coast Guard u'll spend 2 months in basic (8 weeks) then go to a duty station til u can go to ur "A" school. Their age limit is 25 and there enlistment contarct is 8 years. 4 on active duty and 4 on reserve but in some cases they offer 2, 4, and 6 year contracts but the best thing to do is talk to a recruiter. |
