I dont do diets anymore - about 2 months ago I started a "lifestyle" change.. so far I have lost about 14lbs.. but I am a big girl haha.. Id love to be ten stone!!
Anyways... I got help from my doc and I am now eating like a king.. its not about cutting anything out - its about clever thinking.. for example - last night for dinner I had mexican chilli chicken with rice... there was about 500 cals in it.. I switched everything to wholemeal/wholegrain (cereals, bread, rice and pasta)
I exercise every day for 20-30 mins.. I use a lateral thigh trainer because you can just slip it in whenever you have a spare 20 mins and with kids I know how hard it is to schedule time!
An example day for me is this:
Breaki - Muesli (Alpen no added Sugar - measure 40gs exact) 220 cals
Mid Morning - Coffee (tiny amount of milk) and a cereal bar 80 cals
Lunch - Tuna Sandwich with wholemeal bread & Banana 350 cals
Afternoon - bowl of berries (blueberries, blackberries & Starwberries) about 100 cals or 2 ryvita and cottage cheese for the same cals
Dinner - Low fat Lasagne & Salad, home made chicken Goujons and Wedges, Chilli, Spaghetti etc.. all for about 600 cals tops - bulk everything with veg and keep portions of carbs low - if nec have side salad..
Dessert - Very berry mango sorbet by Ben & Jerry 70 cals
The rest of my cals are usually taken up by the milk in my coffees - I try to keep it around 1500 a day... but sometimes i am over and some time I am under...
If I have a sugar craving I have one square of Lindt or Green and Blacks 70% Cocoa..
