I am so sorry. I am a firm believer in getting second and even third or fourth opinions from other doctors when cancer is involved. One doctor can say it isn't treatable and another can wipe it out. So, if it were me, in order to find any happiness, I would have to keep fighting- that's what I mean about seeing other doctors. All have various opinions about treatment options, etc.
I have known several people that were told that either their prognosis was poor or that there was no treatment. ALL sought other doctors and all are alive today. One for 25 years after they were told there was no hope.
I don't intend to give you false hope, but what if those I speak of had not sought other doctors/ opinions/ treatment. I have no doubt they would not be here. Obviously, all are happy they decided to fight.
Have you ever heard of Cancer Treatment Centers of America? They use not only traditional methods (chemo, radiation, etc.) to fight cancer, but take a whole body approach, etc. I had melanoma many years ago. Recently I have had tons of tests as they thought it might have returned. They are still not certain, have to do further tests, etc. but I have been to several doctors. While I may not always be "happy" I do find some happiness in keeping my doctors on their toes. This is only what works for me. I just sat down and did a lot of soul searching on how I could be happy. Fighting it and not taking no for an answer helped me in that area so much. Maybe if you do that- sit down and ask yourself what would make you happy, you will find the answer all on your own as I did. Good luck to you. I hope you find your answer.
