Install (if needed) and enable remote desktop connection on all of your XP desktop computers and that'll allow you to connect to them.

To see if RDC is installed, go to start ==> all programs ==> accessories (it might be in there, if not) ==> communications. If it's not installed, go to add / remove programs, then add/remove windows components to install it.

To enable RDC, right-click My Computer, then properties. In the pop-up window go to Remote and enable Remote Desktop.

To connect to the computer, you'll either need it's computer netbios name or IP address. Just open RDC on your server, then type in the netbios name or IP address, wait for it to connect and if a login prompt appears, enter that computer's local username and password account. Then it'll be just like you're working on that computer!

RDC is pretty awesome, I use it all the time at work to remotely administer our various servers. Makes life much easier!
