millancad has a spectacular aura about
I think so. Some of the best universities out there are free. But we'd have to rethink what college means. At Deep Springs College, a very small, all-male school that is definitely one of the best in the nation (applicants frequently choose it over Harvard) there is no tuition because the students have to work on a ranch and the money from their work goes to their education. I think that could be done at any college. You could work doing something relating to your major or doing something that is part of the culture of where your school is. And that money could pay for all of your eduction. Staff would have to live a bit less comfily, but I think overall, it'd be better.
