| A few decades ago, before the Reagan years, when unions were strong and the U.S. had manufacturing jobs, the Democratic party strongly supported unions. Sadly, none of these things are any longer the case.
But your question is more about prejudices about illegal immigrants, who take jobs no Americans actually want rather than competing for their high-paying union jobs. There are illegal immigrants keeping house, not manufacturing automobiles. I don't really see what supporting unions has to do with the immigration issue, though it has something to do with trade issues. |
