History has a way of repeating itself. Take for example the 1968 election where Barry Goldwater had won the majority of the primaries, but he did not get the nomination. Instead, the DNC, I believe, gave it to McGovern, where he got trounced by Nixon in the national election in November of that same year.

So this should tell you that even if you win the majority of the primaries, you can still lose the nomination. Hillary still has a chance! And Obama people will cry racism! Now, if McCain chooses Condoleeza Rice as his running mate, that might draw some of the Obama people over to vote Republican. It might happen!
