| I think you might have to get used to it LBJ. The term "Senior Citizen " was introduced because someone who controls these things decided some years back, that it had a slightly more polite and "distinguished sound to it than "Old Age Pensioner."
At 65 middle age MUST be staring to catch you up a bit at least, so really what's wrong with the truth. You ARE getting old , just as I am, compared to the youngsters we are both old foggies too, I'm a disgraceful, disgruntled grumpy old foggie.
What I like about being considered old is the advantages that
it brings.
cheap rail trips
You can flirt outrageously with female shop assistants, I find quite a few flirt back. I have great fun in the supermarket. I even get a wave on the way in sometimes. Its a bundle of fun.
cheaper haircuts
cheaper phone
free ambulances
etc.
We ARE getting old, and the time left is getting less by the day, so I intend to grow old and have a bundle of fun as I do it. It'll be too late after the lid gets screwed down.
Death is no more than a long long sleep, so laugh in it's face and grow old in style, don't waste time and energy trying to fight it, embrace it. Enjoy every single moment mate. |
