| Are fox terriers more prone to injuries than other breeds?
My four year old pet fox terrier was perfectly fine in the yard one minute, and the next was whining in pain. When we opened the door she dragged herself in using her front paws. We took her to the vet immediately, she was running a fever, her pupils were dilated, she was disoriented and her back legs were not working right. It looks like her hip is sort of off center, but the vet says it must have been a serious fall while playing, she does like to chase pigeons away.
She has improved some, but the cause remains a mystery since none of us actually saw what happened. All she has been getting is a daily shot to bring down any swelling. |
