Maybe you need to contact your own family and stay with them for a few days while you think things over. If your finance wants all this in his life, then while you are with your family he can see what it is really like.
I think while you are with your family you need to look into public housing assistance and see if you can get into subsidized housing or for your brotherinlaw/his child. Then contact his mothers doctor and say you are having a baby and they need to get personal care and housekeeping care givers for his mother. You do not have to be going through this at all.
Do not go back until all this is in place and has been taken care of.
