I think everything should be available for teaching. In all reality, MOST people WILL have sex before marriage, even if they're religious or church going. Some don't, of course, but most do. I think abstincene is a wonderful concept and should be endorsed....however, since kids are kids, and they'll do what they want to do anyway, I think condoms, birth control and REALISITC information about pregnancy and STD's should be readily availble to all kids, so that they can grow up and make more informed, less guilt-ridden choices. I think telling a kid to just not have sex is idealistic and stupid, and most likely, they'll do it just to rebel. I think sex education in schools is a great thing and I think that all kids deserve fair and honest information about the responsibilities and possibilites that come with sex: babies, diseases and otherwise....I also think that sex in itself isn't horrible and kids shouldn't be taught that...it CAN be horrible, but it can also be great and wonderful if its embarked upon with a level head and common knowledge of the consequences surrounding sex; and not just babies and diseases, the emotional, psychological and spiritual consequences of sex (at the wrong time, too soon, wrong person) can be just as devastating and dior as babies or diseases. So, anyway, that's my opinion! But to answer your question fully, I think all avenues surrounding sex education should be used and taught in schools!
