| Question about HPV and cervical cancer?
When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I received a routine pap smear. It came back postitive and my OB/GYN told me I have HPV. She did a colposcopy and found that I had precancerous cells in my cervix that would need to be frozen -- but not until after I gave birth.
I moved out of state and did not see that doctor again and put all of that out of my mind. My current OB/GYN said my pap came back positive and told me the same thing about HPV. I had another baby six weeks ago and recently noticed a large lump in my vulva.
Could this be a genital wart? I know HPV causes warts. Or could it be something worse, as I did nothing to treat the STD for the past two and a half years? |
