The CG is pretty family friendly and they do have married couples on active duty. The mission comes first, just like if you were on the PD or FD, you've got shifts to pull.
If you really both want to go CG (great choice by the way) I'd say the hubby should go AD and the wife go Reserves. Reserves get great opportunities and have great flexibility.
