I am 20 years old and was planning to join the Australian airforce as an officer at the beginning of next year but im a little scared that i will be sent to a base where i will obviously know no one and there will be no one my age to be mates with..

Is there any past/present members of the airforce or people who know anyone in it that could help me out?? I just want to know if my fears are jusified.

Any help would be great.
