Hi it is probably the dog ,but its not the dogs fault, he might benefit from allergy tablets like childrens benadryl etc, which you can buy in the shops. If the child is really ill then maybe getting rid of the dog but trying medication first is a good start as it no fun having no pets when your young, cats make me itch but I have 6 of them and 4 dogs and have allergies probably caused by my animals but I wouldnt give them up for the world.
