| In some states you may be able to teach on a provisionary or probational certificate. However, you must have a 4 year degree and a teaching certificate in the field for which you are applying if you want a permanent job. You really need to talk someone in Personnel at the District Office for your school district. You can also look on your state's website. Because of a teacher shortage in some states, the rules may be different.
