[Lucky]

at my job we get "free" insurance that doesnt cover much. i can pay a 20 dollar co pay to visit a doctor. but i have absolutely no prescription coverage. im on metformin which is very cheap. only like 11 bux a bottle. but it doesnt cover the lancets or the strips either. a box of lancets costs like 11 bux. then the strips run me around 85 for 100. so out of pocket every month im around 100 bux. if i have to get a prescription for anything else its extra. sometimes i get uti infections and thats another 11 bux and the migrane medicine is 98 bux. so i can sometimes pay 200 a month out of pocket just to take care of myself. then when i was diagnosed i saw one or two doctors a week. so 20 bux for a co pay isnt much. but if i saw just one doctor a week for a month, thats another 80 bux. im not low income, but pretty darn close and i get NO help.
