| I was discharged from the Navy with a general under HONORABLE conditions but
with an RE-4 can I go back in? At the end of 2002 my wife was very very sick and I disobeyed a standing order. They gave me a choice of either going to the brig for a week and loss of one weeks pay and one drop in pay grade I was an e-5 at the time and was in for 9 years. Or to get administration discharge. I took the administration discharge because of my wife being sick. Now she is better and I want to go back into the Navy. What are my chances? My wife was very very very sick and I was on a HUMS when it happened I thought it would be better to get out to take care of her. All though the Navy was my life. They thought my wife might even die.One other thing the National Guard said they would take me in a heart beat. I also have letters of recommendations from officers and such. It was on shore duty, In NJ and nothing was going on it was all quite it was a year after 9/11 and I was working at a Reserve training center doing in doc and working in supply ... Out of my rate as a BM. |
