| Marrying into the navy?
Im 16 years old and my boyfriend is 18. He joined the navy and is going away to boot camp in august and then he is going to be deployed. He asked me to marry him and wants to get married before he leaves for boot camp or after boot camp but before he gets deployed. He is not one to cheat, never has, says he never will. I trust him and love him and i know that i want to spend the rest of my life with him. He loves me, but im just wondering if he just wants to make sure that im still here when he comes home? Also the whole thing about how guys who are over 18 in the navy can't do things with girls younger than 18, can we still get married? I think that we should get engaged but wait until his first tour of duty is finished. Plus, we haven't been together all that long but i know that he is ready to settle down already and i believe that i am too (certain situations in my life have caused me to grow up quicker than people could imagine). What do you think about the situation? |
