| There shouldnt be any reason why she couldnt have the baby natuarlly. Some gestional diabetic babies tend to be large so she may start the process of natural birth, but then find that the baby is too big for her pelvic and need a c section.
My first pregnancy, my son was very large. He was 11 pounds at birth and I was very petite. We think that I developed the GD right b4 I gave birth bc he all of a sudden got huge at the last of my pregnancy.
However my 2nd pregnancy I WAS diagnosed with GD and my baby that time was only 6 pounds.
Every pregnancy is different.
