| The flag should not be up at night unless it is illuminated. Weather should be fine. Just make sure that you have the right size and type of material for the weather at hand. When I was younger, a large, heavy flag was left out in a violent rain storm. It absorbed so much water that it became quite heavy and bent the flagpole.
Also! Do not let the flag get too ragged. My father, an Army officer, has gone to businesses a couple of times and has told them to replace their flags because they looked horrid. I don't know if they ever did, but it did offend him. |
