| For just a cold, don't give him anything. Medication won't make the cold go away faster, just prevent him from "clearing out." Use a humidifier to help keep him comfortable, tylenol only for a fever, and keep him propped up so he can breathe easier. Use the bulb syringe and saline solution to keep his nasal passage clear. It really is better to just let the cold work itself out as long as he is just sneezing and coughing and not feverish.
