| Boyfriend going to airforce? ways to cope?
My boyfriend of 6 months now is starting to talk about the air force and college. I know that the AF is something he wants to be involved in, and he enjoys it(he's been in JROTC for 3 years now). After high school he has mentioned going to basic training, and afterwards the two of us getting engaged before they send him off for the actual airforce training so they will keep him close to home so we can be together. I'm worried about him being sent over seas as soon as basic is over, could this happen? I think he is pretty sure about wanting to work on the planes, but he has mentioned being a pilot (i dont know if he is qualified though). Is his plan of basic training, engagement then AF training feasible? (ps i'm not sure how the AF/military works, so could someone tell me if they are paying for his college, would they take him out to be sent over seas or to do something else needed?)any help is greatly appreciated!
