| What do you think is proper phone etiquette for a wrong number?
I just received a wrong number call on my cell-phone. I explained they had the wrong number. But then after explaining that mine is a personal # and they were trying to reach a company so they were obviously wrong, they asked if I knew how to get the number to the company they were looking for.Am I wrong to have simply hung up at this point? They're wasting my minutes on my cell-phone and It's not my job to look up a # for someone either too lazy to find it themselves or too messy a writer that they can't read their own writting. Or maybe someone just gave them a bogus # to get them out of their hair!Non offensive nickname: I so laughed at that it's fantastic!!Lil Bear: Uh,good deeds. Have you ever stopped to help someone push their car off a busy highway? I have 3 TIMES!Also I agree IF it had sounded like a senior person or a child I would have spent time on the phone. But they sounded like 25-35. I think they know how to find the number by themselves. To Mercedes: Yes I am bugged. I didn't hang up immediately just in case they had something else to say, like oh sorry, so I was suprised by them continuing on the conversation like I was lying to them. I'm sure other people have gotten that attitude from a wrong number. The "Are you sure this isn't 555-1234?"
