I don't think that people are lazy at saving their marriage. I think for the most part the problem is that people prepare for the wedding moreso than the actual marriage. We get wrapped up into having the perfect DAY that we don't think past the honeymoon. I'm a product of a broken home and I think that I have become pretty successful in my life. I think that we as parents really don't give our kids enough credit as to what they can understand (depending on the age of course) but these children are subject to more information about life now than we ever did as kids. Hell, my 6 year old logs on to cnn.com for fun lol. The point is if people are thinking about marriage there needs to be an action plan and a real talk about what you will and wont accept i.e. "If you feel like we are losing steam in our relationship we need to talk about it openly instead of holding things in and potentially putting ourselves in a position to where we may cheat" and actually commit to that!
