I think you're trying really hard to let go of the past and move on. That's a macro observation. Micros would take too long. I think the only thing that represented future action was the dress and I think it represents a specific goal that you want (marriage/success/whatever) but you need the knowledge of your past to identify what it is you want or how to obtain it. Any regrets about losing your ex? Anyway, I had a dream like this once, but can't remember it exactly now. It doesn't mean the end of the world is coming (in case you had any worries), but there is a major change ahead.
