| Essay help: Product that has a high commitment level, maybe with a contract, but you can still return it?
College level English course.I'm writing an essay about cohabitation, which I refer to as the "premarital test drive." To introduce the concept, I'm trying to think of some product... maybe a house or something.... where you have to make a high commitment to it, but you still have a grace period (buyer's remorse period) to back out of the commitment -- maybe even something REALLY expensive.I'm trying to say that marriage doesn't really have a buyer's remorse period where you can return the product (your spouse) without much of a loss if things don't work out. So it's good to "test drive" a possible marriage before you fully commit by living together first. Please don't respond with how cohabitation is bad and shouldn't be done. And I already know the statistics of how marriages that happen after living together rarely last more than 3 years. I just want the example to lead into my paper. And if there's nothing like that, any other suggestions on how to start this paper? Thanks!
