I live in the UK, My husband and i seperated in Sept. 06 He has since moved in with a new girlfriend and I have met and began dating a new man. My husband has never paid money for our son, makes lots of last minute excuses why he cant visit our son (car broke down, no money for petrol, not enough money to buy him a mcdonalds, 2 cancer scares, his girlfriends illnesses, his row's with his parents etc. etc.) He has been asked by CSA to pay child maintenance and he is currently appealing against it. He asked me to divorce him since I've not gone back to work yet and can get help with legal costs, so i went to a solicitor and started proceedings and now he's contesting it! His reason is that he disagrees with my version of events and wants to divorce me for HIS reasons. I've explained to him that if I'm divorcing him,i think i should have a right to cite MY reasons for the divorce. I cant cope with this much longer!He is my son's father and i dont intend on stopping him from seeing his son or anything so he wont ever be out of my life as such, i like the idea of asking a mutual friend to help, the trouble is, he cut all ties with everyone i know when we split (even the guy who was his best friend and best man at our wedding) so there is no-one!I have no money or property anyway - thats what i mean - it doesn't make sense!
