Should I send my father a Father's Day card?

Yes, it could be worth reaching out to him now. The past is the past - you can't change it. He may have deep regrets about his behavior and actions back then. One thing is for sure, he is your only father, the only one you'll ever have. You said yourself, that he helped you and wasn't a bad father. Send him a Father's Day card and I'll bet he will be very touched! Better yet, go and see him on Father's Day, the day after he receives your card in the mail. Go and see him yourself first, without the kids, but maybe the next time, if all goes well, you should bring the kids along. Another option, especially since I don't know how far away your father lives from you, is to call him, or to include your phone no. on the card. If you don't try to reestablish some kind of connection with your father now, you may regret it later. He is still relatively young, although you never know how long a person has in this life, so I think you know what you want to do. You wouldn't have asked this question, otherwise. Good luck whatever you decide to do!
