There are many things that you can talk about ...You can write about the human genome project and it's impact on medicine.You can talk about the concerns in reference to genetic discriminiation (ie. there has been increasing concern ... that insurance companies may discriminate against people who are predisposed to developing fatal disease (ie hereditary breast cancer) because that Scientist know which genes a RESPOSIBLE for these diseaases.... so, basically there is concern that insurance companies can deny coverage to people carying these genes ....)You can write about the contraversy surrounding genetically modified food (ie. golden rice) http://www.goldenrice.org/You can write about criminals that where exhonerated by DNA evidence... years after crimes were committed.you can talk about OJ simpson.(... personally I think Golden Rice is a great option ... there is sooo much info out there about it.... both 'simple' and very 'technical' types of references.... in my mind that would be the most interesting ... but that's just my 2 cents ...
