How does the Muscular System work with the Skeletal System?

The muscular system and the skeletal system work together to provide support and movement for the body. All muscles have both Insertion and Origin points that are located on the skeleton. For example:Long Head of the Biceps BrachiiOrigin: Supraglenoid Tubercle (at the shoulder) Insertion: Radial Tuberosity (on the radius)The Origin always moves towards the insertion, hence moving a joint or bone with it. If the muscle shortens towards then you get flexion of the arm. Its this relationship that allows each of these systems to accomplish its goal.
