Most universities have education programs, you can browse through their course calendars online. You need to choose an area of focus and/or an age range. For example Math and Science and Junior (upto 6), intermediate (6 to 10) or senior levels (10 - 12).These specializations and ranges differ a bit from state to state, so it is best to study in the state in which you'd like to work.Although I love teaching, most of the teachers I know don't. You really might consider carefully if this is for you. You have to be prepared for the students to dislike you when you do what is right and best for them. Be prepared for families that blame you, and families that defeat their children. Also be prepared to keep to yourself anything political, religious, or even just your oppinion.Teaching is an awesome job, but you need to be the kind of person that can pat themselves on the back. |
