Find a dentist that will make you feel at ease. Start asking your friends, call the offices and ask them how he/she is. Also consider getting an anti-anxiety pill from your doc. SERIOUSLY. Not kidding about it. My dentist told me that it's a really good idea if you're too freaked out about a procedure.I think if you can find a dentist to make you feel at ease, you'll be a lot less worried. You don't want that tooth to get worse... because the pain is going to be a LOT worse than your fear. I didn't go to the dentist for a long time either... maybe 7 years, but I found a great one and I'm not as afraid anymore. Also make sure to let them know you're very anxious about it and they'll usually work with you. Nitrous can be good, too
