Asthma can also cause coughing. But It would feel more tightness in your chest, or difficulty catching your breath, also you would feel more fatigued. Asthma can develop at any age, it generally starts with allergies ie cats, mold, dust, pollution, any thing inhaled. Even road construction resulting in dust. What job do you have that might contribute to these symptoms? Also it is the season for all types of plants right now. Keep a journal of what was in your environment when you experienced coughing. Don't hesitate to make a doctors appointment if it persist for a couple of days.
