tell her about teh added sucurity, you can have teh profile not only set to private but you have to acccept peopel who want to add you, you can also set it so all comments and msgs have to be accepted before they will be posted.you dotn have to post pictures of you or your house, who you see on myspace or come incontact with is entirerly upto you.that it is the safest thing you can think of.good luck
