| pain in back center of neck, around neck, under chin and back of throat to swallow & simply move?
Is this the worst pain you've ever had?If so, GO DIRECTLY TO HOSPITAL, do not pass go. All the symptoms you have described suggest possible meningitis. It may be a viral meningitis, not bacterial, as it sounds a lot slower. Another possibility is septicaemia. You don't want to mess with either of these things, as they can (and do) kill.I think you should go to hospital anyway. Sounds to me like your doctor is not very good. He/she should at least have done a throat and a nasal swab to find out if you had an infection, what it was caused by, and what to treat it with. Do not go back to this doctor, find a new one, talk to other people and find out who is good. Ask at the hospital if you like, they will certainly know who the good doctors in your town are. Please do not delay. You should not be putting up with this pain, and it could be serious. It may not be serious, but better you find out now. The hospital will surely do enough tests to work out what is going on.
