How come both religion and communism require restricting the population’s access to information?

Communism? Communism doesn't; dictatorship does. There can be dictatorship with any kind of economic organization. America's greatest ally, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is an officially Democratic Socialist government headed by the Labour Party of the UK.Most European countries, whose media are far more honest and accurate and not driven by capitalist motive than America's, are Social Democracies or Democratic Socialists. Bolivia, a communist country, recently had an election that dwarfed the democracy of America. There, people were extremely informed about the issues, and the poor elected one of their own, a farmer. In Venezuela, another communist country, Hugo Chavez enjoys a 90% aapproval rating. He recently appeased most of the people who participated in the CIA backed coupe that temporarily overthrew his government in 2002. If someone did that in America do you think they'd be pardoned? No, they'd be before a firing squad.Religion requires restricting people's access to information because it can only thrive on scientific ignorance. Science disproves the leading metaphysical claims of the monotheistic religions, and therefore, their credibility falls with public epiphany to these truths.
