Can anyone think of some interesting objects that i can show the children in my preschool room?

Go to a teacher's supply store, you'll find all kinds of ideas...but I'd get different kinds of texture like: foam, cotton, nuts&bolts, (big size please), rubber, wood blocks, sandpaper...etc. Besides texture they'll learn opposites like soft and hard, light and heavy...fill up a bottle of water and another with sand , they can also learn about transparency, liquid and solid...and to make even more interesting, have everyone make a bottle of corn syrup and fill in with those confetti, you glue the top and they have something they made and looks real cute. They will also enjoy it very much watching the confetti "navigates" real slow in the syrup:-))
