| Make sure he knows his multiplication tables, first. Use flash cards for the division. Start out with VERY simple division problems and work your way up. For example:
Show him a flash card that says 4 DIVIDED by 2.
If he knows what 2 x 2 is, then ask him "How many times does two go into four"? Do this for the entire multiplication tables until he understands. |
