There's not a lot of call in home care for maternity/birthing, as most new mom's would not be in need of that sort of nursing care. However, in a large metropolitan area, you could probably find a home health agency that had a specialty in pediatrics. You would be working with babies & kids who had significant medical problems. You would need to obtain a bachelor of science in nursing degree & would be well advised to get a year or two of med/surg &/or pediatric hospital nursing experience before going into home care.
